This painting is one of my favorites. It was painted from the seedling we have at home. I had started several seedlings from avocado we had bought and eaten, but this one is the only one that survived. It's over two years in this painting, and it's growing stronger each day. I love how the washes bring out this plants fragile leaves well. I'm hoping to be able to plant it in our garden in a few years. And, who knows, maybe I'll have my own-grown avocados one day!
