A fine art print of a watercolour pear. This painting was made as part of a series of common fruits. The greens in the print are brilliant, almost radiating. Because of the delicate details, this print looks beautiful, even in more sober interiors.

The pear is the unknown big brother of the apple. It's incredibly tasty and very verstile (in pies, cooked, as syrup, raw, as cider, with ice cream, as ice cream, etc.), but it's often not thought of. Even I catch myself opting for apples over pears most of the time. So when I sat down to paint this pear, I wanted to give it special attention. I wanted it to be plendid, full and bubbly. I'm especially happy with how the red dots on the skin came out, as they represent the crumbly texture of pears beautifully.
